Where, (2017)
While looking at a photograph the question of who, what, where, how is frequently asked - but what happens when a photograph visually does not give us the answers to any of those questions?
This is a selection from my personal archive of negatives. Pictures that were shot but which never became the intended photograph - instead it became an abstract imprint of light , or sometimes, "nothing".
They are combined with a few frames that has the intended photo one expects to capture while pressing the trigger. These ones are selected because they were shot before of after the mistakes. I have used this method to somehow decipher - to answer the question where? - the photo that depicts nothing was taken. An attempt to interpret the abstract photograph.
